About

It is no secret that the cannabis industry is becoming bigger and bigger as medical marijuana becomes more accessible in the United States today. One of the reasons for this is because the stigma surrounding cannabis in the United States is finally starting to deteriorate after long years of cannabis being an illegal substance.

Hopefully, we will see cannabis federally legalized within the next decade or so, but until then we can wait patiently and appreciate the freedoms we do have with medical marijuana. Are you looking for a job in the cannabis industry? If you are, there is a great chance that you will be able to find them. The reasons ro this is because the industry is growing at an astronomical rate.

Many people don’t realize just how many jobs are available in the marijuana industry, and these jobs will soon be in very high demand as cannabis continues to become more accessible to people all over the nation. So as far as hard data goes, what do we have about the growth of the cannabis industry? Well, a report projects that there should have been 283,000 new jobs created in 2020 alone, and this will continue to grow each year. The year is now 2022 and we undoubtedly have even more jobs available to people wanting to get into the marijuana industry. The truth about the industry is that it will continue to grow as more and more people have a demand for cannabis in the future. Afterall, who doesn’t want to experience the great healing benefits of cannabis and all it has to offer?

So what types of jobs are available for people searching for them in the medical marijuana field? Well, it depends on what type of job you want to have. Some of the jobs in the marijuana field involve higher levels of education and degrees, while others can be obtained with just experience and a little knowledge on the field. The state that offers the most job opportunities in the cannabis industry is California, followed by Colorado and then Oregon.

This is kind of expected as these states are generally the first states to legalize marijuana in various forms. One of the jobs that you can get in the cannabis industry is being a budtender. We all probably have a favorite budtender that we can think back to at our first dispensary - they were fun, patient, helpful, and just a nice person to see when you are buying your weed. Budtenders are in pretty high demand lately, especially in states that have just begun to open up their medical or recreational marijuana programs.

Also, most places do not require a college degree to work as a budtender, so that can be really nice for anyone that does not have one but wants to work with weed everyday. Budtenders have a lot of responsibliltes though, so you definitely will want to do some research about what the work entails before you start applying.
